My husband and I share thank you notes. We sometimes send cards that speak from the soul:
Thank you for valuing my smile enough to look for it every time we wake in the morning.
Thank you for reaching back to pull me up when I am not strong enough to reach the top.
Thank you for waiting when the race becomes to hard.
Sometimes we speak from the heart. A simple I love you, or maybe I Miss You, is all the thank you that people need to feel good.
Gifts should always receive a thank you.
Thank you for the lovely gift.
I always knew you had a gracious heart.
An Act of Kindness is fulfilled when a thank you is returned.
You are unselfish ,putting others first, making me feel special. I am enriched and pleased that we met each other.
How to Write Good Thank you Cards
- Write 5 Things the other person does that makes you feel good.
- Write 3 words that have meaning, but are 'your' words.
- Write 4 verses and read them out loud. Cut the ones that do not sound sincere.
- Try writing thoughts not poems.
- Be specific. Do not say 'you make me happy.' Instead say 'I loved your help with the project.'
