What Are You Thankful For?

My husband and I share thank you notes. We sometimes send cards that speak from the soul:

Thank you for valuing my smile enough to look for it every time we wake in the morning.
Thank you for reaching back to pull me up when I am not strong enough to reach the top.
Thank you for waiting when the race becomes to hard.

Sometimes we speak from the heart. A simple I love you, or maybe I Miss You, is all the thank you that people need to feel good.

Gifts should always receive a thank you.

Thank you for the lovely gift.
I always knew you had a gracious heart.

An Act of Kindness is fulfilled when a thank you is returned.

You are unselfish ,putting others first, making me feel special. I am enriched and pleased that we met each other.

How to Write Good Thank you Cards

  1. Write 5 Things the other person does that makes you feel good.
  2. Write 3 words that have meaning, but are 'your' words.
  3. Write 4 verses and read them out loud. Cut the ones that do not sound sincere.
  4. Try writing thoughts not poems.
  5. Be specific. Do not say 'you make me happy.' Instead say 'I loved your help with the project.'
