Why Do People Have Bad Credit?

There are ample free services on the net for people who are suffering from bad credit. I always get hit at the first of the month with bills to pay, and they are always slightly higher than my income - especially in the winter. It is just a part of owning a home, raising children, and managing a freelance career.

I have a US Personal Debt counter on my squidoo lens. It spins as the debt climbs to 10 billion. Most of this debt can be relieved. Just owning the right credit card can save money. My credit card has 11% on it, and $25 annual fee. My husbands - which we are working on getting rid of - has 28% and a $200 annual fee. Both are major cards, both are advertised on television as being affordable.

To find the truth you need to go to a comparison website and find out for yourself whether you are paying an extra $400 - $1000 a year for the privilege of owning a credit card. There is a major difference in fees, even between the bad credit credit cards that are made to help you regain control of your money.
